Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum die-cast steering column which is further higher in torsion fracture rigidity.SOLUTION: An aluminum die-cast steering column is used in a sleeve-type die-cast method, and comprises an accommodation part 1A which accommodates molten metal, and a pouring part 2 which pours the molten metal accommodated in the accommodation part 1A. The steering column is used in a steering block part of a steering wheel for an automobile which is manufactured by using a ladle 1 having an obstacle 5 in the pouring part 2 of a die-casting metal supply device which supplies the molten metal into a sleeve by pouring the molten metal toward a metal supply port of the sleeve from the pouring part 2 by being inclined to the pouring part 2 side. The steering column has an isometric ferrite structure whose grain size is not smaller than 15 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
