Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of improving uniformity of planar light, with a simple constitution, even in the case where a light source is arranged in a deviated manner in a short side direction of a surface light source device.SOLUTION: A surface light source device 200 includes: a light source 7; a rod-like light distribution control element 6; and a reflection part 5 formed in a box-shape so as to accommodate the light source 7 and the light distribution control element 6, and having an opening 56 in which an emission side opens and a reflection surface 57 for reflecting the light emitted from the light source 7 inside the box-shape. The light distribution control element 6 includes: a light emission surface 62 which is formed in an asymmetrical shape in the width direction of the light distribution control device 6 with respect to an optical axis C of the light source 7, and in which the optical axis C passes; a light emission surface 63 arranged on one end part in the width direction adjacent to the light emission surface 62; and a light emission surface 64 arranged on the other end part in the width direction adjacent to the light emission surface 62.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
