PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shielding fabric which reduces transmission of ultraviolet and has heat shielding properties, a method of manufacturing thereof, and a heat shielding garment.SOLUTION: A heat shielding fabric in this invention includes a fabric and a compound which converts infrared rays and ultraviolet adhered to the fabric to visible rays. The compound that converts the infrared rays and the ultraviolet to the visible rays is an organic fluorescent agent of one kind or more chosen from a group comprising a coumarin-based compound, a benzoxazole-based compound, and a cyanostyryl-benzene-based compound. The heat shielding fabric in the invention can be manufactured by a process of immersing the fabric in an aqueous dispersion including the organic fluorescent agent and treating at 70 to 150°C or a process of making the organic fluorescent agent adhered to the fabric by a binder. The invention relates to a heat shielding garment using the heat shielding fabric.SELECTED DRAWING: None
