Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for efficiently entropy-coding and decoding a position of the last effective conversion coefficient in a conversion block with large size.SOLUTION: A method for entropy-coding a conversion coefficient in a conversion block includes: a step 910 for determining a position of the last effective non-zero conversion coefficient among conversion coefficients included in conversion blocks of predetermined size by predetermined scanning order; and a step 920 for coding the position of the last effective conversion coefficient by using a relative position in the conversion block in a horizontal axis direction and a relative position in a vertical axis direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
