Abstract:
This 3D display device 3 comprises a display panel 5 (display element) and a parallax barrier 6 (optical element). The display panel 5 of the 3D display device 3 displays a left eye image and a right eye image on first subpixels 11L and second subpixels 11R, respectively. The parallax barrier 6 allows at least a part of the left eye image to be transmitted to the left eye of a user, and allows at least a part of the right eye image to be transmitted to the right eye. A first prescribed number of the first subpixels 11L and second subpixels 11R is aligned continuously in respective rows. The regions in which the first subpixels 11L and second subpixels 11R are aligned are offset by a second prescribed number in adjacent rows. The first prescribed number is larger than the second prescribed number and is not a multiple of the second prescribed number.
