Abstract:

Stable 4-hydroxyisoleucine derivatives; and a process for producing the derivatives. The compounds of the formula (I) and compounds of the formula (III) are obtained by first protecting 4-hydroxyisoleucine with aminal and an amino protective group; reacting the same with any of various amino acid derivatives or amine compounds; and thereafter removing the protection. (In the formulae, the characters are as defined in the description.)
