Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to reduce an oil attached onto the inside of a housing of an air conditioner and also reduce smell generated by the oil. An air conditioning apparatus provided with an ion generator unit 5 for dissociating water by electrical discharge to generate ions, an air blower 23 for feeding air taken through an air intake port 211 to an air discharge port 212, an heat exchanger 24 for exchanging heat with the air taken in through the air intake port 211, a wind direction control unit 25 for controlling the direction of the air blown out through the air discharge port 212, a housing 21 for accommodating the air blower 23, the heat exchanger 24 and the ion generator unit 5 therein, and a control unit 6. The control unit 6 controls the air blower 23, the wind direction control unit 25 and the ion generator unit 5 in such a manner that the inside of the housing 21 can be filled with the ions after the shutdown of an air-heating operation.
