Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus installed at the end of a sewage pipe for cleaning a storage tub, which temporarily stores and controls excess stormwater or sewage so as to release into a river or an ocean, and particularly for cleaning sludge that settles on a lower surface of the storage tub. The apparatus for cleaning the storage tub, according to the present invention, is connected to the sewage pipe for cleaning the storage tub, which controls excess introduction of the sewage, and comprises: a wash tub on one side wall of which an inlet for receiving the sewage that has passed through the intercepting manhole is formed, and on the upper end of an opposite side wall of which an overflow step having the shape of an opening is formed; a storage tub, which is provided with a drain pipe for discharging the sewage that is stored, for storing the sewage that has passed through an overflow step of the wash tub; and a water gate that can be opened/closed which is positioned on a lower portion of the opposite side wall of the wash tub, wherein sludge settled on a bottom surface of the storage tub is washed out by the sewage, which has been transformed into fresh water and stored in the wash tub, by opening the water gate. According to the present invention, the sludge settled on the bottom surface of the storage tub can be washed by using sewage that is introduced from the wash tub, which is adjacent to the storage tub, and more specifically, the sludge settled on the bottom surface of the storage tub can be washed by means of a waterfall created by the difference in height of the bottom surface of the wash tub and the bottom surface of the storage tub.
