Abstract:

An apparatus for recovering CO₂ having an absorbing tower (13) for contacting a CO₂-containing gas (11) containing CO₂ with a CO₂-absorbing fluid (12) absorbing CO₂, for the removal of CO₂, and a regenerating tower (15) for regenerating a rich solution (14) having absorbed CO₂, and reutilizing, in the absorbing tower (13), a lean solution (16) having been removed of CO₂ in said regenerating tower (15), which comprises a regeneration heater (18) for withdrawing a lean solution (16) recovered in the vicinity of the bottom of the regenerating tower (15) to the outside thereof and subjecting the lean solution to the heat-exchange with a high temperature steam (17), and a steam-condensed water heat exchanger (21) being provided in a rich solution supplying line (20) supplying a rich solution (14) to the regenerating tower (15) from the absorbing tower (13) for heating said rich solution (14) by the use of the remaining heat of the steam-condensed water (19) from the above regeneration heater (18).
