Abstract:
An arc start material for electroslag redissolution having an aggregate of curled cut metal pieces of super alloy. In an electroslag redissolution arc starting method, electroslag redissolution is started by generating arc between a primary ingot electrode consisting of primary ingot and an arc start material for electroslag redissolution, the primary ingot electrode is energized while kept touching an arc start material for electroslag redissolution having an aggregate of curled cut metal pieces of super alloy, and then the primary ingot electrode is separated from the arc start material for electroslag redissolution of super alloy, thus generating arc between the primary ingot electrode and the arc start material for electroslag redissolution.
