Abstract:
An array substrate and a liquid crystal display device. The array substrate comprises: a glass substrate (10); a light shielding metal layer (20) having a first area and a second area; a first insulating layer (30); a thin film transistor (40); a pixel electrode layer (80); a common electrode layer (60) electrically connected to the light shielding metal layer (20); and a second storage capacitor formed between the second area and a drain electrode (46). The device has the advantageous effects of improving the storage capacitor of the liquid crystal display device and further improving the display performance.
