Title:
ARTIFICIAL FIBROIN-DERIVED PROTEIN MOLDED ARTICLE, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/189601
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: an artificial fibroin molded article having improved or modified mechanical characteristics such as elongation at break (stretchability), toughness, tensile strength, and Young's modulus, compared to natural silk; and a method for producing the artificial fibroin molded article. Provided are: a method for producing an artificial fibroin molded article from a silk-doped liquid which is a solution containing a natural or artificial fibroin-derived protein, the method comprising a step for forming an amorphous coagulated product using a cyclic ether solvent as a coagulation bath, or using, as a coagulation bath, a solvent containing a cyclic ether as a coagulating agent, and a step for crystallizing the amorphous coagulated product by performing post-drawing; and an artificial fibroin molded article produced by the production method.
