Abstract:

The present invention addresses the issue of providing an asenapine-containing adhesive patch having excellent sustained release properties, which uses a silicone adhesive base and thus has increased skin-permeation properties. The present invention relates to an adhesive patch comprising a support and an adhesive layer, the adhesive layer comprising asenapine and/or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a silicone adhesive base, and a release control agent, wherein the ratio of the maximum skin permeation speed of the asenapine relative to the minimum skin permeation speed thereof up until 24 hours after the point when the maximum skin permeation speed is reached is less than 1.62.
