Abstract:
Provided is an automatic splicing device comprising a control device (59) that is configured to move first and second uptake members (75a, 75b) and position said uptake members at first and second opening-forming positions (Rb1, Rb2) by the time that the first and second cutting points (Q1, Q2) for first and second tapes (T1, T2) have been conveyed to and positioned at first and second cutting positions (Lc1, Lc2). In this way, it is possible to reliably take up first and second unnecessary portions (Tf1, Tf2) of the first and second tapes (T1, T2) within the first and second openings (80a, 80b) of the first and second uptake members (75a, 75b) and process said unnecessary portions. In addition, the automatic splicing device is configured so that once cutting of the first and second unnecessary portions (Tf1, Tf2) is complete, the first and second uptake members (75a, 75b) are moved to and positioned at first and second conveyance positions (Ra1, Ra2). As a result, it is possible to smoothly convey the first and second tapes (T1, T2) along first and second movable conveyance paths (79a, 79b) for the first and second uptake members (75a, 75b) to a splicing position (Ls).
