Abstract:
An automatic transmission is provided which comprises: a variator having a first pulley, a second pulley and a belt wound around the first pulley and the second pulley; a first motor which exerts a pulley thrust force on the first or second pulley to shift the variator; a second motor which generates a belt clamping force in the variator; a power transmission mechanism which is disposed between the second motor and the variator and which transmits output torque of the second motor to the variator. The power transmission mechanism is provided with a cycloid speed reducer which reduces the input torque from the second motor and transmits this to the variator.
