Abstract:
Disclosed is an axial motor which comprises a rotor (2). The rotor (2) is disposed between a pair of stators provided with a coil. In the rotor (2), a plurality of permanent magnets (23), each of which is sandwiched between a pair of first magnetic materials (21), and a plurality of second magnetic materials (22) are alternately arranged in a rotation direction with gaps (24, 26, 27) formed therebetween. The axial motor with the aforementioned structure can perform field-weakening control, because the permanent magnets (23) are sandwiched between the first magnetic materials (21), and can generate a reluctance torque, because the second magnetic materials (22) are provided. Further, the axial motor can cause magnetic fluxes generated from the permanent magnets (23) to flow to the coil side to a large extent, because the gaps (24, 26, 27) are formed. Thus, the axial motor with the aforementioned structure can achieve high power (high torque) and high efficiency (size reduction).
