Abstract:
A back-up power supply system 1 supplies power to one or more loads 3 when a power supply 2 fails. The back-up power supply system 1 is provided with a plurality of electricity storage devices C1 and a switching unit 12. The plurality of electricity storage devices C1 are each charged by the power supply 2. The switching unit 12 switches the electrical connection state of the plurality of electricity storage devices C1 to either a first state of being connected in parallel with the power supply 2 or a second state of being connected in series with each other. The switching unit 12 switches the connection state to the first state when the plurality of electricity storage devices C1 are charged and switches the connection state to the second state when the power supply 2 fails.
