Provided is a ball for a ball game, the ball advantageously allowing the condition of the launch thereof and the trajectory thereof to be measured precisely and accurately. Also provided is a method for manufacturing the ball for a ball game. A golf ball (2) is provided with a ball body (20), first regions (22), and a second region (24). The ball body (20) is provided with a core layer and a cover layer which covers the core layer and consists of a synthetic resin. A large number of dimples (26) are formed in the surface of the cover layer. The first regions (22) are formed on the surface of the ball body (20) and have electrical conductivity. That is, the first regions (22) are formed on the spherical surface which centers on the center of the ball body (20). The first regions (22) are located at six vertexes of a regular hexahedron which is imaginarily formed in such a manner that the vertexes thereof are located on the surface of the ball body (20), and the number of the first regions is six. The second region (24) is formed in the remaining portion of the surface excluding the first regions (22) and has no electrical conductivity. In other words, the first regions (22) are the regions having high radio wave reflectivity and the second region (24) is the region having lower radio wave reflectivity than the first regions (22).
