Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of batteries, for example, relates to a battery management system (BMS) (1000) and an energy storage system (1). The BMS (1000) comprises N detection modules (100), a switch circuit (200), a voltage converter (300), and a controller (400). A first detection module (100) to an Nth detection module (100) are electrically connected in sequence, wherein each detection module (100) is configured to be electrically connected to a battery cell (2000), and the first detection module (100) is configured to be able to output a first signal when an anomaly occurs in any battery cell (2000) when the BMS (1000) is in a sleep mode. The switch circuit (200) is configured to be turned on in response to the first signal. The voltage converter (300) is configured to perform, on the basis of the turning-on of the switch circuit (200), voltage reduction on a voltage which is output by an external power source, so as to supply power to the controller (400) and wake up the BMS (1000). Since the detection modules (100) are electrically connected in sequence, when more battery cells (2000) need to be connected in series to the energy storage system (1), it is only needed to correspondingly connect in series the detection modules (100) to the BMS (1000), thereby improving the expandability of the BMS (1000).
