Abstract:
In order to provide a bending operation mechanism for an endoscope whereby the amount of operating force on a bending operation member can be reduced by a simple mechanism, and operability can be enhanced while preventing the size of the device from increasing, this bending operation mechanism for an endoscope is provided with: a rotating body (33) integrally assembled with a bending operation member (22) to which a bending wire (35) for driving a bending part (7) of an endoscope (1) is connected, the bending operation member (22) being operated in rotating fashion; a reduction gear mechanism (64) for reducing the speed of rotation of the rotating body; and an urging mechanism (68) for applying an urging force to an output gear (63) of the reduction gear mechanism in a rotation direction.
