Abstract:
Compositions and methods are provided for treatment of pathologies associated with Tau protein, including methods wherein HLA-DRB1 *04-mediated adaptive immune response against Tau protects against PD, AD, ALS and tauopathies. Vaccines for use in the compositions and methods are also provided, comprising at least one Tau peptide with one or more acetylated lysine residues to provoke an HLA-DRB1 *04-mediated immune response, and agents for screening T cells for reactivity against these peptides.
