Abstract:
The present invention relates to a button-type secondary battery having a diameter greater than the length thereof, the button-type secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly formed by the alternate arrangement of electrodes and a separator; a can body into which the electrode assembly is inserted; a base plate which has a through hole formed therein and is coupled to the can body while covering the upper opening of the can body; an electrode terminal having at least a portion inserted into the through hole of the base plate and covering the through hole; an insulating gasket for insulating between the electrode terminal and the base plate; and an insulating sheet which is located on the lower surface of the base plate, and insulates between the base plate and the electrode assembly, wherein the lower surface of the insulating sheet is located closer to the assembly than the lower surface of the electrode terminal.
