Abstract:
The present invention prevents discomfort from occurring when switching an optical viewfinder and an electronic viewfinder. A subject image captured by a solid-state electronic imaging element (34) appears on the display screen of a liquid crystal display device (65) when the electronic viewfinder function is set, and a viewfinder shutter (62) closes. When the optical viewfinder function is set, the viewfinder shutter (62) opens, and the subject image does not appear on the liquid crystal display device (65). When switching between the electronic viewfinder function and the optical viewfinder function, the subject image being displayed on the liquid crystal display device (65) gradually disappears or the subject image gradually appears on the liquid crystal display device (65) following the opening or closing of the viewfinder shutter (62). Sudden dimming and darkening is prevented when switching.
