Abstract:

A camera module advantageous to the simplification of an assembling operation is provided. A camera module (22) is comprised of a lens barrel unit (66) with a receiving space (S), a lens holder unit (68) that holds a photographic optical system (34) and that is supported movably along an optical axis of the photographic optical system (34) received in the receiving space (S), an image photographing element (29) for picking up an image led by the photographic optical system (34) set in the lens barrel unit (66), and a driving unit (72) for moving the lens holder unit (68) along the optical axis of the photographic optical system (34). The lens barrel unit (66) has an inner lens barrel (80) in which the receiving space (S) is defined and an outer lens barrel (78) set outside the inner lens barrel (80). A stopper plate (86) catches the inner lens barrel (80) and the outer lens barrel (78) in the direction of the optical axis in states in which a front plate (86A) is engaged with the front edge of the outer lens barrel (78) while edges of two side plates (86B) are engaged with a rear edge surface wall (8002).
