Abstract:
A register adjusting method and a printing machine which can enhance economy
by enhancing detection capability of a register mark thereby preventing paper
waste. Position of a register mark to be printed on a sheet is predicted, a plate
cylinder (25) is preset based on this prediction, and then the predicted value
of the register mark position to be used in the next time operation is corrected
based on the difference between the position of an actually printed register
mark and the predicted position. For example, correction is performed according
to an expression; A'=A+(B-A)Œk(k is a coefficient under 1), assuming
the predicted value of the register mark is A, actual position of the register
mark is B, and the predicted value of the register mark after correction is A'.
