Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method that enables easy determination of cancer cells. The present invention relates to a cancer cell determination method comprising the following steps 1-3: (1) a step 1 for subjecting a cell-derived nucleic acid to a bisulfite reaction, said nucleic acid at least including a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 and including some or all of a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1; (2) a step 2 for amplifying, among the reaction products obtained at step 1, a bisulfite reaction product of a nucleic acid at least including a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 and comprising some or all of a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1; and (3) a step 3 for determining whether said cells are cancer cells on the basis of the result of subjecting the amplified product obtained at step 2 to electrophoresis. The present invention also relates to a primer set comprising: a forward primer comprising a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 6; and a reverse primer comprising some or all of SEQ ID NO: 8 and comprising a base sequence that at least includes a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 7, or a reverse primer comprising a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 9. The present invention further relates to a reagent for cancer cell determination, said reagent including said primer set.
