Abstract:
This invention provides a card receptacle in which the entire area surrounding a card slot can be made to glow in an even, soft, and attractive manner. This card-reader card receptacle (4), in which a card slot (3) into which a card (2) is inserted is formed, is provided with the following: a light-guide member (13) that, viewed from the direction from which the card (2) is inserted, surrounds at least part of the card slot (3); light sources (7 through 10) that emit light towards the light-guide member (13); a reflective member (11) that is positioned behind the light-guide member (13) in the direction in which the card (2) is inserted; and a cover member (14), in which the card slot (3) is formed, that covers at least the light-guide member (13) and the light sources (7 through 10) from the front in the direction in which the card (2) is inserted. The cover member (14) is made from a translucent light-transmitting material.
