Abstract:
In the present invention, a cased is formed so that when a honeycomb filter formed to have a quadrangular prism shape is accommodated in a case formed to have a cylindrical shape that is a quadrangular prism shape in a cross section thereof and, among the resulting gaps, the intervals between the top sections of the four corners are denoted by a and the intervals between the central positions of each side are denoted by b, a and b satisfy the following relational expressions (1) and (2): (1) a×3 ≥ b; and (2) 3 ≤ (a+b)/2 ≤ 5.
