1. t. System CD/DVD Case which can connect cases continuously in the form of a book or an album using a special connector. A projection (11) and a groove (12) are molded in the left extra space of A case (l) which stores such optical media products as CD, CDROM, CDR, CDRW, and DVD for continuous connection. To operate it, a allinone lever (10) is placed and a spring structure (13) is given for flexible binding and separation. A fixed projection (2) is installed for tight fixation. Finally, a lever (10) is rotated and a projection (Il' is exposed to connect a groove (12) continuously. System CD/DVD Case which can connect cases continuously in the form of a book or an album by applying the method for connecting a projection (11) and a groove (12) and by installing a Iatch (20) and a catcher (2l). System CD/DVD Case which can connect cases continuously in the form of a book or an album by having a trapezoidshaped connector using a connecting bar (30) to connect the case (1) to other case (la) and a fixed bar (31) to be fixed in the case (l), by molding a induction groove for connection (32) in order that an insert groove (33) can be inserted to the case (l), and by making a connection rail which binds a connection bar (31).
Description:
DESCRIPTION [CDbook (System CD/DVD Case)] [Technical Field] Daily Necessaries [Background Art] This design is to pack such optical media products as music CD, CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, and d D, wiuch have become standards of stored media due to steady demand for computer supplies. The existing technique includes jewal case (10mm thick) and slim case (5mm thick) for a sheet of CD, CD cake for several bulk CDs, storage box for moving, and showcase. Since CD case sells by separate sheet which is not good for keeping, searching, and taking, many variety of products have sold in the market. It is likely to be used for CD which is the international standard, DVD title, or future media.

One person usually has tens or hundreds of CDs because of accumulated capacity of data, version-up of software, and free CD title.

[Disclosure of Invention] CDbook has a connector which makes it possible to connect each case on the left extra space of the existing case. Because the existing case does not provide a good ability to keep, to search, and to take, a user tends to buy another product. However, another product is not satisfied in use, gives some confusion for keeping CDs between case and storage box, and finally makes a basic case useless. Furthermore, unless saved contents are not directly marked on the cover of CD, it is not easy to search as well as to know what CD contains. Since a program continues version-up and the latest data is given priority in importance, the existing case has not satisfied users'desire to keep, to search, and to take more conveniently. We should always be careful in order to avoid taking too much time to look for what we want. CDbook solves such problems within the existing case to avoid unnecessary expenses and to enhance convenience for storing data.

The structure and function of CDbook can rotate because it is connected to the edge of extra space of case (l). Thus it is possible to spread in the form of a fan just like a book or an album, which allows easy keeping, search, and taking. A projection (ll) and a groove (12) are molded on the left extra space of the existing case (1) for connection. An all-in-one lever is placed to operate. To link and separate, a spring structure (13) is given. Polypropylene material, which is not fragile, is used to give some flexibility. For use, just pull a horizontal level and rotate it at a right angle. Then a projection (11) will be automatically projected vertically from the case (1). A lever (10) will be fixed tightly by a fixed projection), which fixes a lever (10) in normal times. A projection (11) may be inserted into a groove(12a) of another case(1a) and it is very easy to connect with slight pressure thanks to flexible material and a diagonal-shaped projection.

Using this method, tens of cases can be connected continuously and in any direction. To separate, hold two cases to be separated (l) (la) in both hands and <BR> <BR> <BR> push either case (la) upward. Then the upper projection (lla) will be detached from a groove (12) due to elasticity of both springs (13). Separate both cases (1) (la) naturally. You may have the same function by connecting a latch (20) to a catcher (21) with the application of connection method. Another method is to have a trapezoid-shaped connector which can connect each case to the existing case (l). This connector consists of a connecting bar (30) to be connected to another case (la) and a fixed bar to be fixed to this case (l). To connect each case, a induction groove for connection (32) has to be molded for an insert groove (33) to go through. A connecting rail is needed to bind a connecting bar.

To operate, place an insert groove (33a) of case to be connected (la) on a induction groove for connection (32) and then insert an insert groove (34) into the <BR> <BR> <BR> upper end of connecting bar (30). Move the case (la) downward and a connecting bar (30) will be bound to a connecting rail. Now two cases (1) (la) will be connected jointly to both connecting bar (30) and fixed bar (31).

[Best Mode for Carrying out the Invention] There are some problems in use of the existing optical media case because it sells in the form of a sheet. Poor ability to keep and take leads users to buy another product and makes CD searching confused.

If the problems are solved within a basic case, it will provide users with variable convenience. This design gives CD case a connector which can connect several cases for convenient keeping, taking, and searching in the form of a book or an album. It is very easy to structure and use because (l) the existing case is not transformed too much, (2) the number of parts are not increased greatly, (3) a simple connector is installed not to extent of changing the external style much, and (4) the elasticity of polypropylene, which is a kind of plastics, is applied.

[Industrial Applicability] It is a fitted technique to the world standard of optical media which are typical storage media and can be used for all kinds of optical media. In other words, it may be manufactured or sold as a basic case for personal media for storage and be given as a separate case in the market.

In particular, it helps CDs to be sorted according to their contents, importance, the latest, and date. Because sorted CD makes a group and it is possible for any CD to directly search, to open, and to close, Cijbook encourages tile easy and quick sort, management, and search of CDs.

In addition, during taking or moving, it is possible to connect desired CDs in the form of a book or an album without limit of quantity. CDbook provides convenience of the existing case and at the same time removes the trouble of changing a case or contents like a separate case. When put in a bag, it can keep CDs neatly and display them without an aid in a group.

In addition to such functionality and convenience, it maintains the standard of the existing case, is easy to mold or manufacture, and has reasonable production cost because of simplification of structure. It is expected to increase sale and realize a high profit as it is the same as the existing case in the aspect of packaging and distribution. This technique may be applied to the products with similar use other than optical media products.
