Abstract:
A charging control apparatus, which controls the charging of a charger installed inside a vehicle, using a control signal supplied thereto from an external power supply apparatus via a power cable, is provided, inside the vehicle, with a control unit for executing a charging control of the charger, and a start-up unit for starting up the control unit. The external power supply apparatus switches, when preparation for supplying power is complete, the control signal from a non-oscillating state to an oscillating state. The start-up unit comprises: an oscillation state evaluation unit that evaluates whether the control signal inputted from the external power supply apparatus via the power cable is in oscillating state or in non-oscillating state, and outputs an oscillating-state evaluation signal; and a start-up signal generating unit that generates, when the oscillating-state evaluation signal is switched from a non-oscillation indicating state to an oscillation indicating state, a start-up signal for starting up the control unit. Therefore, power consumption of a vehicle during standby for charging can be reduced, and charging can be started-up with stability.
