Abstract:
Provided is a color image processing device whereby jaggies occurring in a contour portion during printing can be reduced by simple processing. A dither pattern (11) is generated by a dither processing unit (102) for each color component extracted from data of a printing image. Printing data of an image are written in each dither pattern (11), and pixels of a printing image are expressed by blocks (12) including a plurality of dots arranged in accordance with a growth sequence. The dither processing unit (102) evenly detects for all pixels forming an image whether one or a plurality of dots constituting each pixel is outside a data region in which a color component of the image is present, and corrects the dither pattern (11) by moving dots that are outside the data region to dots that are inside the data region constituting the same pixel.
