Abstract:

[PROBLEMS] To provide a combustion chamber for revolving flow type combustion furnace which can improve combustion efficiency and processing efficiency at low cost. [MANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A combustion chamber (7) is shaped into an approximate ellipse such that the ratio of the vertically extending longer axis to the horizontally extending shorter axis in the approximate central region orthogonal to the longer axis is 7 : 4 to 9 : 8. Three or more atmosphere introducing entrances (8b) are formed in the peripheral surface of the combustion chamber (7) near a region below the approximate central region where the diameter is at its maximum. The entrances (8b) are installed such that each is directed to the combustion chamber (7) at a downward angle of 0 to 15 degrees to the horizontal plane and at a predetermined angle with the tangent to the inner wall of the combustion chamber (7). Further, a charging port (T) for charging a material to be melted is installed such that it is directed to the approximate central region where the diameter is at its maximum, in the range of 2/5 to 3/4 of the effective height in the vertical direction in the combustion chamber (7).
