Abstract:
A communication method and a communication apparatus, which are applied to the field of communications. The method comprises: a terminal device receiving first configuration parameter information, the first configuration parameter information being used for determining a first rule, the first rule being a rule of mapping a first data stream to a data radio bearer (DRB), and the first data stream being a protocol data unit (PDU) set, or a PDU, or a sub-quality of service (QoS) flow, or a data stream having a smaller granularity than a QoS flow, or a data stream comprised in the QoS flow, or a data stream mapped to the QoS flow, or a data stream mapped to the sub-QoS flow; and according to the first rule, mapping data to be transmitted to the DRB. Compared with the existing solution that data to be transmitted can be mapped to a DRB only according to a rule of mapping a QoS flow to the DRB, according to the communication method in embodiments of the present application, different types of data in multi-stream service data (such as XR services) can be mapped according to different mapping rules, thereby better satisfying the transmission requirements of the XR services.
