Abstract:
Of a collection unit, which collects source data objects from a data source system, a conversion unit, which converts collected source data objects in accordance with a conversion definition, and a write unit, which writes converted data objects to a storage system, this computer system executes at least the conversion unit and the write unit, maintains system management information that associates information identified from the conversion definition referred to by the conversion unit and information identified from the data management information managed by the write unit, and identifies unnecessary reference data objects by referring to the system management information. This computer system subjects the identified reference data objects to deletion, compression or duplicate removal, or decreases the collection amount of source data objects that correspond to the identified reference data objects.
