Abstract:
Provided is a coordinate detection device capable of detecting an indicator with a simple structure, at low cost, and through both electromagnetic induction and electrostatic capacitance. The coordinate detection device comprises a drive line 10, a detection line 20, a drive circuit 30, a detection circuit 40, a drive line selection unit 50, a detection line selection unit 60, and a control unit 70. The drive line selection unit 50 has a drive line loop means 51 and a drive line connection means 52. The detection line selection unit 60 has a detection line loop means 61 and a detection line connection means 62. When detecting an indicator through electromagnetic induction, the control unit controls the drive line selection unit 50 and the detection line selection unit 60 so that the drive line is in a looped shape and the detection line is in a looped shape. When detecting an indicator through electrostatic capacitance, the control unit controls the drive line selection unit 50 and the detection line selection unit 60 so that the drive line is in an opened state and the detection line is in an opened state or so that the drive line is in a looped state and the detection line is in an opened state.
