Abstract:
A cylinder injection engine, in which fuel is injected directly into a combustion chamber, capable of suppressing the exhaustion of harmful component gas such as HC and increasing fuel efficiency by enabling a stratified combustion in an operating area ranging from a low speed range to a high speed range, wherein atomized fuel from a fuel injection nozzle is transported to an ignition plug by a tumble air flow which is produced in the combustion chamber and formed between the fuel injection nozzle disposed at the side part of the combustion chamber and the ignition plug disposed at the upper part of the combustion chamber, and the engine is formed so that fuel arrives at the ignition plug at the ignition timing of the ignition plug (tumble guide system cylinder injection engine).
