Abstract:
Provided is a cylindrical vibration isolator having a novel structure with which adequate resistance to pull-out of the outer cylindrical member from a mounting hole is secured even as it is possible to form the outer cylindrical member from a synthetic resin. In a cylindrical vibration isolator (10) in which an inner shaft member (12) and an outer cylindrical member (14) are connected by an elastic rubber body (16), the outer cylindrical member (14) is made of a synthetic resin and one end of the outer cylindrical member (14) in the axial direction is integrally provided with a locking section (22), which has a locking projection (26) on the circumferential surface, and a stopper-supporting section (24) for supporting the base end of a stopper rubber (30) that protrudes outward in the axial direction. Said locking section (22) is located on the outside of the stopper-supporting section (24) separated therefrom by a recess (20) that opens outward in the axial direction of the outer cylindrical member (14). to limit inward deformation of the locking section (22) by swelling circumferentially when compressed and deformed in the axial direction and contacting the inner circumferential surface of the locking section (22).
