Abstract:
The present invention improves the efficiency and accuracy of a search, when a compound, which indicates a distribution similar to that in a reference picture such as an optical microscopic picture, is discovered by an imaging mass spectrometry. In an imaging mass spectrometry device using a data processing device according to the present invention, a regression analysis execution unit (16) executes PLS using mass spectral data per measurement point and reference picture data, and obtains a regression coefficient to which the distribution similarity is reflected for each m/z value. An m/z value search unit (17) selects an m/z value in a descending order of regression coefficients, but when one m/z value has been already selected in each m/z search range obtained by dividing the entire m/z measurement range by each prescribed width, excludes an m/z search range including the m/z value from a search target. Since a peak derived from a certain compound and a peak of an isotope thereof almost belong to one m/z search range on the mass spectra, according to said processing, it can be avoided that an m/z value of an ion derived from the certain compound and an m/z value of an ion derived from the isotope thereof are selected in duplicate as an m/z value candidate.
