Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for collecting water-floating materials including floating algae. The device for collecting water-floating materials comprises: a platform retained underwater by a weight or a retaining portion so as to float on a water surface; a collector for collecting water-floating materials while floating on the water surface; a connection tube connected to the collector and to the platform; a recovery tube which is connected to the platform, and which extends underwater; and a pump unit connected to the recovery tube. Floating materials can be collected by transferring suction power from the pump unit to the collector such that collected floating materials are suctioned along the connection tube, the platform, and the recovery tube. The collector is configured to make a circular movement or a circular-arc movement around the platform by means of the suction power provided by the pump unit. According to the above configuration, it is possible to provide a device for collecting water-floating materials, wherein materials floating on the water surface of a sea, a river, or a lake are collected at a high efficiency by the collector that is operated by suction power from the pump such that the aquatic ecosystem is protected by spending no or minimum manpower.
