Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for monitoring the degradation of a power conversion device, the device having a plurality of semiconductor elements and using the plurality of semiconductor elements selectively according to an operation mode being executed. The device comprises: a mode specification unit; a current information acquisition unit; a current estimation unit; and an index calculation unit. The mode specification unit specifies the operation mode being executed by the power conversion device. The current information acquisition unit acquires current information relating to a current flowing in the power conversion device. The current estimation unit estimates the size and direction of a current flowing in each of the plurality of semiconductor elements on the basis of the operation mode specified by the mode specification unit and the current information acquired by the current information acquisition unit. The index calculation unit calculates, for each of the plurality of semiconductor elements, a degradation index indicating the degree to which degradation has progressed, on the basis of the size and direction of the current estimated by the current estimation unit.
