Abstract:
A display control device (1) is provided with a specific announcement data storage unit (3) for storing data determined to be displayed at a specific location related to the travel route of a vehicle, a general announcement storage unit (2) for storing general announcement information, a vehicle status information acquisition unit (4) for acquiring vehicle status information which indicates the status of the vehicle, and an announcement display control unit (5) for outputting video signals. In cases where the announcement display control unit (5) determines from the vehicle status information that the vehicle is in a predetermined state, the announcement display control unit (5) identifies the next arrival destination of the vehicle within a route, acquires from the specific announcement data unit (3) the predetermined specific announcement data which is to be displayed at a specific location including the identified destination, and outputs the specific announcement data as a video signal. Except for cases where the announcement display control unit (5) determines that the vehicle is in a predetermined state, the announcement display control unit (5) outputs the general announcement data as a video signal.
