Abstract:
A display device and a drive method therefor. The display device comprises a liquid crystal display panel (01), the liquid crystal display panel (01) not comprising a color filter layer, and the liquid crystal display panel (01) comprising a plurality of first pixel units (10) distributed in an arrayed manner, each first pixel unit (10) comprising at least three sub-pixels, each sub-pixel comprising a display unit (101), and at least one sub-pixel in each first pixel unit (10) being provided with a palm print identification unit (102) for identifying a palm print; and a light source (02), disposed on a light incidence side of the liquid crystal display panel (01), the light source (02) being used for providing three-primary color light for three sub-pixels in at least three sub-pixels respectively, wherein the three sub-pixels include at least one sub-pixel provided with the palm print identification unit (102). The drive method is used for the display device having a palm print identification function.
