Abstract:
This display device comprises: a substrate; a pixel electrode disposed on the substrate, and provided with a first portion and a second portion disposed outside the first portion, the first portion protruding further to a second side opposite to a first side close to the substrate than the second portion; a luminescent layer disposed to extend over the second side of the first portion and the second side of the second portion; a first edge cover disposed to extend over the second side of a marginal section of the first portion and the second side of the second portion, having an opening formed on the second side of a central section of the first portion, and covering the edge of the first portion; and a counter electrode provided with a portion disposed closer to the second side than the first edge cover and facing the pixel electrode with the luminescent layer interposed therebetween.
