Abstract:
The present invention is a display device that ensures waterproofness without comprising functionality of a polarizing plate. The present invention is a display device comprising: a housing (11) having an internal space (2a), a placement hole (10a) communicating with the internal space being formed in the housing (11); a transparent protection plate (13) attached to the housing interposed by a waterproof structure (12) for preventing the ingress of moisture into the internal space through the placement hole by covering the placement hole; a capacitance panel (16) having a transparent electrode; a polarizing plate (15) for converting transmitted light into polarized light; and a display panel (17) for displaying a moving or static image. The polarizing plate, the capacitance panel, and the display panel are disposed inside the housing; and the polarizing plate is disposed between the transparent protection plate and the capacitance panel.
