Abstract:
A drive device (1-1) for a vehicle is provided with: a dynamo-electric machine (3); a first shaft (20) and a second shaft (30), which are individually connected to a drive shaft (45); and a differential mechanism (10) having a rotating element (11) which is connected to the dynamo-electric machine, a rotating element (14) which is connected to the first shaft, and a rotating element (13) which is connected to the second shaft. The drive device for a vehicle is provided with a predetermined mode which blocks the transmission of power made through the second shaft and which connects the dynamo-electric machine and the drive shaft through the first shaft while the differential operation of the differential mechanism is restricted. The first shaft and the second shaft may respectively have speed change mechanisms.
