Abstract:
Disclosed is a drive device for a vehicle comprising a rotary electric machine, a transmission mechanism, an inverter device, a case having a first case portion that houses the rotary electric machine, and a rotor shaft to which a rotor is fixed, the rotary electric machine and a pair of output members have a two-shaft structure, the transmission mechanism is provided with an output gear that is drivingly connected to at least one of the pair of output members coaxially with the pair of output members, the output gear is disposed so as to overlap with each of the rotary electric machine and the inverter device as viewed in the axial direction, the inverter device is disposed so as to overlap with a first output member, which is one of the pair of output members, as viewed in the vertical direction, the first output member is disposed so as to overlap with the axial center of the rotor shaft as viewed in the horizontal direction, and the inverter device is disposed at a position below the uppermost position of the first case portion in a second direction.
