Abstract:
The present invention provides: an electrode material for aluminum electrolytic capacitors, the electrode material enabling the achievement of a capacitance required for a capacitor, while exhibiting excellent folding strength; and a method for producing this electrode material for aluminum electrolytic capacitors. The present invention provides an electrode material for aluminum electrolytic capacitors, the electrode material having, on at least one surface of an aluminum foil base material or an aluminum alloy foil base material, a sintered body of at least one powder that is selected from the group consisting of an aluminum powder and an aluminum alloy powder. This electrode material for aluminum electrolytic capacitors is characterized in that: (1) the total thickness of the sintered body is 50-900 μm; (2) the 10% particle diameter D10 in the number-based particle size distribution of the powder in the sintered body is 1.0-1.8 μm; (3) the 50% particle diameter D50 in the number-based particle size distribution of the powder in the sintered body is 2.0-3.5 μm; and (4) the 90% particle diameter D90 in the number-based particle size distribution of the powder in the sintered body is 3.8-6.0 μm.
