Abstract:
An electrolyte for high-voltage class electrolytic capacitor that realizes a high sparking voltage of electrolytic capacitor and exhibits simultaneously high specific conductivity and sparking voltage. There is provided an electrolyte comprising organic polar solvent (C) and carboxylic acid (A) and/or salt (B) of the carboxylic acid (A), characterized in that the value of H is ≥ -2320 kcal/mol, the above H represented by the formula: H=E(G)-[E(A0)+E(D)], wherein E(A0): energy of formation, calculated by the MM3/PM3 method of CAChe system, of anion (A0) of the carboxylic acid (A), E(D): energy of formation, calculated by the MM3/PM3 method of CAChe system, of aluminum ion (D), and E(G): energy of formation, calculated by the MM3/PM3 method of CAChe system, of (A0)-(D) ionic complex (G).
