Abstract:
An electrolytic capacitor comprising: an element stack comprising a plurality of capacitor elements each having an anode portion and a cathode portion; an anode terminal electrically connected with the anode portions; a cathode terminal electrically connected with the cathode portions; and an outer case covering the element stack. The outer case includes a first main surface, a second main surface meeting the first main surface, and a third main surface opposite the first main surface. In the element stack, at least one capacitor element is electrically connected to the anode terminal on the first main surface side, and at least one other capacitor element is electrically connected to the anode terminal on the third main surface side. Of a region of the cathode terminal opposing the cathode portions of the capacitor elements, a position closest to the first main surface side and a position closest to the third main surface side are defined as a first position X1 and a second position X2, respectively. An electrolytic capacitor of which the cathode portion is electrically connected to the cathode terminal at least at the first position X1 and the second position X2 is used to reduce ESL.
