Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an operating method for an electronic device. The operating method for an electronic device may comprise the operations of: changing the size of a first display area in response to the identification of a user input indicating a slide operation; and displaying, on the basis of the size of a first UI object included in the first display area, the first UI object in a second display area and the first display area while the size of the first display area changes, wherein the size of the second display area does not change.
